👥 Classes & Ages

  • What age groups do you offer?
    We offer a wide range of classes suitable for all ages and abilities, starting from age 1 all the way up to adults.
  • Can I go into class with my child?
    We have dedicated classes for children from age 1 where a parent or guardian can enter the studio to accompany and help the child. All other classes are independent learning where parents/guardians do not enter the studio.

📅 Bookings & Trials

  • How do I view the classes available?
    Please visit abstractdpa.com and go to Timetables, Enrolments & Trials. Select your age group and day from the drop-down menu to filter your options.
  • How do I book classes?
    Please visit abstractdpa.com and go to Timetables, Enrolments & Trials, then select either Trial or Register in your selected classes
  • How do I pay for the trials?
    When you book your trial, we will email you our bank details so you can pay securely by bank transfer.
  • What should my child wear to a trial class?
    Children do not need the official uniform for a trial. Please wear comfortable clothes (like leggings/joggers and a T-shirt) with trainers.
  • What should my child bring to class?
    Please bring a water bottle clearly labelled with your child's name, along with any specific dance shoes if they already own them.
  • How do I book classes to join after the trials?
    We will email you as soon as your trial classes finish with clear instructions on how to complete your enrolment.

💳 Payments & Cancellations

  • How do I pay when I enrol in monthly membership classes?
    Payments are made monthly via a standing order and must be paid on or by the 1st of each month.
    • Booking Confirmation: We will email you the exact amount and instructions once you register.
    • Mid-Month Starters: If you join partway through a month, we will send you a calculated pro-rata payment for that month.
    • Adding Classes: You can add extra classes to your membership at any time.
  • What happens if my child misses a class due to illness or holiday?
    Fees pay for your child's secure place in the class. We are unable to provide refunds or credits for missed classes due to absence.
  • Do classes run during school holidays?
    Our regular weekly classes run during all half terms, we close around Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays and some bank holidays. Please view the exact term times on your hub account.
  • How do I cancel classes?
    Once enrolled in monthly membership classes, all cancellations must be submitted in writing:
    • How to cancel: Send an email to headoffice@abstractdpa.com.
    • Deadline: Emails must be received by the 14th of the month to avoid being charged on the 1st of the following month.
    • Late Notice: If received on or after the 15th, you will need to pay for one final month.
    • Full details can be reviewed in the cancellation policy via your online Hub account.

🩰 Uniform, Exams & Safety

  • Is uniform compulsory?
    Yes. All of our classes have a compulsory uniform to ensure safety, team spirit, and equality. Items can be viewed on our dedicated shop website and ordered directly via email when you enrol in classes and will be delivered to the studios for you. You will receive full details in your enrolment email.
  • What are the hair requirements?
    • Ballet Classes: A neat, low bun is required.
    • All Other Classes: Hair must be tied back neatly off the face in a ponytail.
  • Are examinations and performances compulsory?
    No, all examinations, performance awards, and shows are completely optional. However, we highly encourage participation as they are fantastic for confidence growth, rewards, and enjoyment!
  • Are your teachers qualified and background-checked?
    Yes. Safety is our top priority. All teachers are qualified, insured and hold enhanced DBS checks. Additionally, first aid trained staff and licensed council chaperones are part of Abstract DPA.
